How it all started
Photography has been a lifelong journey for me, starting when I was just nine years old, capturing the world through the lens of an iPad Mini. As I grew, so did my passion for creating art. In college, I rediscovered my love for photography and switched my major to photography and media, immersing myself in the craft. I had the privilege of learning not just from talented teachers but also from professional photographers still working at the highest levels of the industry. Being an artist at heart since childhood, photography has become my way of telling stories and preserving moments that truly matter.
Awards and other works
My journey in photography has been marked by meaningful recognition for my work. In 2022, I was honored with a scholarship through the Alexandria Annual Student Show, a testament to my dedication and growth in the field. The following year, I earned a cash prize as one of the top three photographers in the same prestigious show. Additionally, my passion for storytelling through the lens earned me the title of Best Photographer of the Summer at Camp Achva in 2024. These milestones fuel my commitment to creating impactful and memorable imagery.
Throughout my photography career, I’ve had the privilege of working on meaningful projects and collaborating with diverse organizations. One of my most renowned works, "People of America," was my final college project, capturing the rich diversity and stories across the nation. I’ve worked with the Global Studies Cafe, a Japan-owned business, as well as schools and camps, documenting yearbook photos and events for children. Additionally, I’ve contributed to event photography for the Smithsonian Asian Art Museum.
